Dot NAME Domains

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain name extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought third-level domains remained active.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to modify the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no special terms on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
