A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty in case you’ve got a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet astonishingly easy to use, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different one with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without difficulty in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a small button handily located right next to each one. With only one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option using the menu that will surface. In case any of the prerequisites for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
